Concrete Batching Plant Chile: Rapid Deployment of FHZS-75 Foundation-Free Plant
· Completo Impianto di Betonaggio Soluzioni
· 32+ Anni di Patrimonio Ingegneristico
Project Overview
In February 2026, a customized
FHZS-75 foundation-free concrete batching plant
was successfully commissioned and delivered for a regional transportation and infrastructure contractor near
Puerto Montt, in the rainy Los Lagos Region of Chile
. Operating in a highly active seismic zone with wet, unstable clay soils where traditional concrete foundations are economically and structurally risky, the client required a highly stable, rapid-deployment concrete solution. Rated at a steady 75 m³/h, the plant provides the reliable, high-spec precision required to keep up with demanding highway and bridge contracts under persistent coastal rain. This successful project highlights our capability to deliver a premier concrete batching plant Chile
contractors can rely on for both outstanding structural integrity and turnkey operational mobility.

Decoding the Client’s Core Requirements
Before recommending the FHZS-75 configuration, our technical team analyzed the strict regulatory and geological challenges in Chile’s mining interior. The contractor defined three non-negotiable purchasing criteria:
Compliance with NCh433 Seismic Codes
Chile is situated on the Ring of Fire and experiences intense tremors. The plant structure—specifically without deep concrete pilings—had to be engineered to dissipate seismic energy safely to comply with national
NCh433 seismic standards
.
Zero-Foundation Setup on Unstable Soil
Excavating and pouring deep concrete foundations on shifting mountain soils or loose quarry gravel is slow, expensive, and structurally risky. The client needed a self-supporting plant that could sit directly on pre-compacted flat ground.
.
Rapid Mobilization to Minimize Downtime
Mining projects move along mineral veins. The plant had to be modular enough to be dismantled, transported, and re-erected in less than a week during future site transitions.
.
Environmental & Operational Challenges in the Andes
The high-altitude Andes region presents harsh environmental and geological variables that standard concrete equipment cannot withstand:
2. Seismic Settlement Risk:
3. Minor, frequent tremors can easily cause permanent concrete foundations to crack and shift, leading to misalignment of the main mixing tower and weighing hoppers.
4. Extreme Altitudes and Sudden Weather Swings:
5. Operating at altitudes above 2,500 meters means handling intense UV radiation, high winds, and rapid temperature drops. Equipment must be engineered to prevent freezing in lines while remaining protected from desert dust storms.
6. Tailored Solutions Based on the FHZS-75
7. To solve these multi-layered challenges, we engineered specific upgrades to customize our FHZS-75 for the rigorous Chilean market:
8. Heavy-Duty Steel Skid Frame (No Foundation)
9. We engineered the FHZS-75 with a
10. massive, self-supporting steel skid frame
11. Built-in Seismic Bracing (NCh433 Compliant)
12. Because the plant lacks deep foundations, the anti-seismic resistance had to be engineered directly into the steel structure. We upgraded the mixing tower and the
13. 100-ton bolted cement silos
14. with reinforced structural cross-bracing and high-tensile connection bolts, fully certified to meet Chile’s stringent
15. Powerful Dual-Drive JS1500 Mixer
16. To handle the highly abrasive granite and quartz aggregates common in the Andes, we equipped the plant with our robust
17. JS1500 compulsory mixer
18. 30×2 kW dual-motor drive
19. , it delivers intense mixing action and is fitted with in-house cast high-chromium liners to extend wear life.
20. Every major modular component of the FHZS-75 was packed efficiently into standard 40HQ shipping containers to minimize ocean freight costs from our factory directly to the

- Seismic Settlement Risk: Minor, frequent tremors can easily cause permanent concrete foundations to crack and shift, leading to misalignment of the main mixing tower and weighing hoppers.
- Extreme Altitudes and Sudden Weather Swings: Operating at altitudes above 2,500 meters means handling intense UV radiation, high winds, and rapid temperature drops. Equipment must be engineered to prevent freezing in lines while remaining protected from desert dust storms.
Tailored Solutions Based on the FHZS-75
To solve these multi-layered challenges, we engineered specific upgrades to customize our FHZS-75 for the rigorous Chilean market:
Heavy-Duty Steel Skid Frame (No Foundation)
We engineered the FHZS-75 with a massive, self-supporting steel skid frame. This design distributes the dynamic loads of the mixing process evenly across pre-compacted ground. By eliminating the need for deep-poured concrete foundations, the contractor saved weeks of cure time and avoided the risks of foundation cracking during tremors.
Built-in Seismic Bracing (NCh433 Compliant)
Because the plant lacks deep foundations, the anti-seismic resistance had to be engineered directly into the steel structure. We upgraded the mixing tower and the 100-ton bolted cement silos with reinforced structural cross-bracing and high-tensile connection bolts, fully certified to meet Chile’s stringent NCh433 seismic standards
.
Powerful Dual-Drive JS1500 Mixer
To handle the highly abrasive granite and quartz aggregates common in the Andes, we equipped the plant with our robust JS1500 compulsory mixer. Powered by a 30×2 kW dual-motor drive, it delivers intense mixing action and is fitted with in-house cast high-chromium liners to extend wear life.
Cross-Ocean Delivery and Erection Record
Every major modular component of the FHZS-75 was packed efficiently into standard 40HQ shipping containers to minimize ocean freight costs from our factory directly to the Port of Valparaíso, and then transported south via the Pan-American Highway (Ruta 5) directly to the project site in Puerto Montt.
Upon arrival, because no deep foundations or heavy cranes were required, the setup progressed with incredible speed. Under the remote guidance of our technical support team, the local crew completed the mechanical erection, connected the pre-wired cables via plug-and-play fittings, and assembled the 100-ton bolted silos on the steel base frames in just 6 days, passing the final trial mix with flying colors ahead of schedule on February 18, 2026

ascoltare il cliente
“The terrain here is incredibly challenging, and with the high seismic risk, we were worried about foundation settlement. This foundation-free plant saved us,” the Project Director noted.
. “We were able to have it fully operational in just 6 days on a simple compacted pad without a massive civil works project. The fact that the plant is compliant with Chile’s strict NCh433 seismic codes gave us complete peace of mind. The equipment is robust, easy to run, and has brought down our operational cost significantly.”
Project Value
Since its successful commissioning, the plant has operated continuously, keeping the client’s infrastructure and mining projects strictly on schedule. The operational and economic advantages of this highly integrated, foundation-free setup were realized immediately across three critical areas:
- Complete Seismic Peace of Mind:
By meeting the strict NCh433 seismic standards
